Is it atypical narrative or a typical narrative?
That is up for you to decide! Part of the reason I chose the name atypicalnarrative (and type it without any spaces) is because of its ability to be read both ways.

Do you follow a blog schedule?
I do! As of right now, the schedule is as follows:

That being said, life happens! I’m not going to beat myself up if I may a day or two (or twelve), so hopefully you don’t either.

How do you pronounce your name? Is it short for something?
My name is pronounced Ah-stee, not Ass-tea. If you pronounce it as the latter then we can not be friends. And no, Asti is not short for anything. (If you want to watch me go into a five-minute ramble about this: check out the It’s not Ass-tea Youtube video I created a couple years ago.)

What do you illustrate with?
Prior to June 2017, most of the illustrations featured on atypicalnarrative were created with the most basic #2 HB pencils (that had snowmen printed on them) and Pilot G-2 07 gel pens. After that (thanks to my birthday), I started using Prismacolor Col-Erase pencils, Pigma Micron pens, and Winsor & Newton Promarkers.

What do you use to take your photos?
All photos were taken either on my iPhone 6s or Canon EOS 600D, unless otherwise stated.

What type of TV shows do you like to watch?
I’m open to anything, but my favorites tend to be reality competitions (The Challenge, Ru Paul’s Drag Race, Survivor), dark comedies (Shameless, OITNB, Fargo), and crime dramas (Sherlock, Breaking Bad, The Peaky Blinders). You can keep track of what I’m watching by checking out my Trak.tv profile.

What type of books do you like to read?
I primarily read Young Adult books of the fantasy and sci-fi variety (Chaos Walking series, The Lotus Wars series, All Our Yesterdays). Occasionally I’ll read some comics and graphic novels (Nimona, Saga, Rat Queens). You can keep track of what I’m reading by checking out my Goodreads profile.

What can I expect from your newsletter?
Back when I blogged at Oh, the Books!, I would create weekly recaps with my co-blogger in which we talked about our lives and highlighted interesting discussions going on around the book blogosphere. The atypicalnarrative newsletter will be similar to those recaps with a focus on sharing the things I loved recently along with personal updates. You can check out the first edition here and sign up here.

Why didn’t you answer my question?
Because you didn’t ask it yet! If you have a question that is not answered here, contact me!
